In 1986, Sierra created its mission statement. It was an important step that we knew would shape our identity and business relationships, and help direct the decisions we made by reminding us of larger goals and values. An important part of that mission statement is as follows:
"Our growth is tied to the growth of our clients, our staff and our suppliers. That is why it is of utmost importance that we maintain and promote an attitude of partnership among all parties based on mutual trust and respect"

It is in this spirit of partnership and respect that we launched the Sierra Eco Label, now in its 8th year. The Sierra Eco Label supports and markets the sale of flowers from socially and environmentally responsible farms.
We believe that by offering a program that recognizes and encourages responsible growing practices and the respectful treatment of its workers, we are going to assure the highest standards of quality and service for our marketplace, and contribute to a responsible and sustainable trading relationship.
